India
has witnessed a good sale of cars in its market in the past decade. Many Indian
customers from middle class families have preferred compact cars to luxury
cars. Though 2014 was an uphill task for the car companies to augment the sale
of their cars, 2015 may leave them satisfied. However, a few companies
succeeded in creating a successful market in India. Honda,Maruti and Hyundai
are some of them. The year left a gloomy picture for Mahindra and Toyota.
Here, the car companies have experimented
with the new models also. For instance.Hyundai introduced i10. Adding the Xcent
compact Sedan alongside the i20 elite turned out to be a welcome relief for the
company. The Korean carmaker had witnessed a positive sale in most part of the
year.

diesel engine, attracted the customer who wanted to leash their pockets. The
launch of its Mobilio MPV(Multi-purpose vehicle)Which was the first direct to
the question raised by Maruti, through its new model, Ertiga. However, Maruti-Suzuki
demonstrated with finesse and managed to have a good share in the market,
eventhough it had only one launch,Celerio.
Both Maruti and Hyundai
are preparing multiple products for the future segment to see that they do not
bite the bullet in 2015-16. This would be a reply to Nissan Terrano. The next
two years will witness many new introductions. Keeping in mind, the aspiration
of the second or third time car-buyers, the car companies will inevitably,
focus on the new shapes to suit the shape of the customer’s taste. The demand
for new shapes, among the Indian customers, has evinced interest in the carmakers
towards the Indian car market. The new demand of the Indian customers, has
reflected the growing maturity in the Indian market.
